“Too often in business, we limit our creativity and risk taking in fear of getting fired, demoted or losing an account. I believe that growth both personally and professionally comes from taking risks and making mistakes. Sometimes making the same mistake multiple times. As a creative, forward thinking individual, having the ability to forgive yourself when making a mistake is key. Although there are direct repercussions, they shouldn’t restrict or prevent the creative process.
With that said, my latest venture as an entrepreneur was to develop a platform that would allow me to explore creativity and expression, and because there is no wrong way to create or express, I instantly gave myself the freedom to grow.
The challenge when developing your own standard is that there isn’t much of a guide to go by, so treading new waters can be a scary place. However, maintaining ambition, dedication and keeping an eye on the goal always supersedes the challenges. Arming yourself with the right tools is also essential. Having a place to work where you feel comfortable and productive is a necessity. This is why I recommend organizations like JetNest. If your business allows you the flexibility to work remotely, why not work in Argentina, Dubai or Amsterdam. Keeping your head clear, while having a networking community of other entrepreneurs just like you is an invaluable asset.”
